SECTION C: Service level expectations

Arts and Culture: This includes arts programs, cultural events, and facilities such as museums and galleries.
Climate Action and Environment: This includes programs and services focused on climate change, conservation, and environmental protection.
Community Services: This includes programs and services for seniors, youth, families, such as social services, community events, and outreach programs.
Fire and Rescue: This includes fire prevention, emergency response, and fire safety education.
Library Services: This includes library operations, collections, and programs for children and adults.

The municipality is facing significant infrastructure needs, including upgrades to roads, sidewalks, facilities, and other essential assets. 

To address these needs, the municipality is considering increasing taxes.

Please note that the tax increase scenarios in the following question are based on a single-family home assessed at $3.67 million.

  • A 1% tax increase would result in an additional $61 in taxes per year.
  • A 2% tax increase would result in an additional $122 in taxes per year.
