Survey: Official Community Plan Housing Policy Update

Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas about future housing options in your community.

To meet new Provincial requirements, the District is preparing to update the housing sections of its Official Community Plan (OCP). This survey features questions about your priorities and ideas for new housing in West Vancouver, and your responses will help us define changes to housing policies under the new legislation.

The deadline to complete the survey is Monday, May 5 at 4 p.m.

Section 1: Our existing housing stock

In terms of housing diversity, West Vancouver is mostly comprised of often large detached single-family homes (63%) and typically older apartment buildings (31%), with few options in-between. In terms of affordability, housing values have risen and are more expensive compared to the region.
